About IEEE Gujarat Section & Region 10
IEEE Gujarat Section (part of IEEE Region 10—Asia-Pacific) was upgraded to a full section on 15 August 1990 and has been recognized for quality programs and member development, including awards for student members. The section emphasizes participative, need-based programming for professionals and students alike.
Region 10 spans a wide geography across Asia-Pacific and supports local units through leadership development, volunteer training, goal setting, budgeting, and programs that strengthen chapters, affinity groups, and student branches.
About MTT-S
The IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) is the leading global community for RF, microwave, millimeter-wave, and terahertz technologies. With thousands of members and 170+ local chapters, MTT-S covers devices, circuits, components, subsystems, and systems related to the generation, amplification, processing, modulation, transmission, reception, detection, and measurement of electromagnetic energy. The Society also engages in interdisciplinary domains such as photonics, acoustics, RFMEMS, RFID, biomedical applications, and more. Its flagship publications include IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, IEEE Microwave Magazine, and IEEE Transactions on Terahertz Science and Technology.
About AP-S
The IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S) focuses on antennas—analysis, design, development, measurement, and testing—together with radiation, radio propagation, and electromagnetic wave interactions with media. Application domains include applied optics, mm-wave techniques, antenna signal processing and control, radio astronomy, and propagation aspects of terrestrial and space-based communications, including wireless and satellite systems. AP-S publishes IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, and IEEE Antennas & Propagation Magazine.
For Students & Researchers
- Project mentorship for postgraduate and doctoral scholars in microwave and antenna engineering
- Guidance on topic selection, experimental setup, and measurement best practices
- Opportunities to present work, receive expert feedback, and build professional networks
Get Involved
- Professionals, faculty, and researchers: collaborate, speak, or host an industry initiative
- Students: join as a member, volunteer at events, and apply for chapter and section awards
- Institutes: invite us to conduct a workshop, short course, or distinguished lecture
In addition to our core technical initiatives, IEEE AP/MTT Gujarat also shares and publishes global finance news and updates to keep our members and the wider engineering community informed about international economic trends, technological investments, and innovation-driven financial developments. Our goal is to provide readers with insights into how global financial policies, sustainability funds, and emerging market dynamics influence the growth of science, engineering, and technology sectors worldwide.
By covering key updates in renewable energy investments, digital transformation financing, research grants, and tech start-up ecosystems, we help bridge the gap between technological advancement and economic awareness. This broader approach ensures that engineers, researchers, and students not only understand the science behind emerging innovations but also gain awareness of the financial and industrial forces driving them. Through this, IEEE AP/MTT Gujarat strives to nurture a well-rounded community of professionals who are both technically proficient and globally informed, capable of contributing effectively to the intersection of technology, economy, and sustainable development.
